Luis Schubert (1993) was born in Freiburg im Breisgau and grew up in a French-speaking environment in Munich. After completing a B.A. in Cinema and Media at the Sorbonne in Paris, he worked in script development at Studiocanal. Since 2016, he has studied Film Directing at the DFFB in Berlin. His short films — co-produced by ARTE, SWR, and RBB — have screened at international festivals such as Palm Springs, Tampere, and Max Ophüls Preis.
He is currently in pre-production on his debut feature with Kojoten Film, funded by ZDF – Das kleine Fernsehspiel and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, and is developing his first series as head writer with Iconoclast Germany.
He is also the co-founder of 35K, a collective dedicated to showcasing and discussing debut films.
